Season of thanks

These are just a few pictures of some of the most important people in my life. From starting out as far back as I can remember with My big brother and my first of MANY little sisters. To the four people who made My three children possible.

I am Very thankful this year for my family and friends. These last couple of months have been something else for sure. And without these people and many more that I don't have pictured, I don't think I would have survived them.

If I have learned nothing else from the darkness of Postpartum Depression, I have learned that recovery depends as much on your support system as it does on your medical treatment.

All I can say is my family was the biggest part in getting me the help I needed. And I love all of you for being their and not judging me at all but taking me into your arms even as my world crashed down around me.

I have found the light again and That is allowing me to be a better Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Friend. God is the strength of my heart.

So I say thanks to God for giving me such an awesome family, Mama, Daddy, Rylan, Cherise, Alyssa (Logan and Rowan too), Krystle, Courtney, Hayden and Cameron I love you guys so much! I also thank God daily for my Wonderful husband Jess, Our children; Wyatt, Genevieve, and Danika. God's light shines through my children. I Have so many other friends that have played a big part in my recovery process. Unfortunately I only have time to name a couple. Gary and Joy; Lalita (Bob and Simon too) Your love and support makes you family. Then there is Kiel. Kiel, I may not know you that well but I know enough that you have not judged me even when I was at my lowest. . . But, you love my sister and that helps more than you know.

Faith, Hope and Love are the good things he gave us. The greatest is love

Babies three

Well, my due date is in about two weeks and we have had little Danika on the outside for just over a week. It still seems kinda unreal to me. I've been feeling pretty good and then I go to the lactation lady and come home feeling incompetent. Apparently I'm doing everything wrong. . . I'm trying not to be discouraged but its hard. Anyway, here are some pics of my babies

Dearest Baby Cherise....

A couple things for these last few weeks of body cohabitation. . .

1) I understand that you and I may not like the same foods. That does NOT mean you have license to eject the contents of my stomach four times a day.

2) Get your foot out from in between my ribs.

3) I know that you are trying to get me prepared to be awake when I would rather be sleeping (I have done this before) But, waking me up at 4am and not letting me eat or go back to sleep is NOT okay.

4) Just because your brother and sister may have written it on the wall doesn't mean Mommy is okay with it. . .

5) Rather than both of us being uncomfortable for another month please consider coming out before Mommy's birthday.

6) GET YOUR FOOT OUT OF MY RIBS!!!!!!

Don't worry, I love you Baby Cherise Gnome Reardon. We look forward to meeting you on the outside.

Happy Birthday Cameron!!!

People give me funny looks when they first find out that My baby brother is almost 16 years younger than me but I still think its pretty cool.

Cameron was the ring barer in my wedding ( he slept on the ring pillow through most of the ceremony) A big job for any four year old but Cameron took the challenge head on.

Now days he is pretty much known as uncle Cam. . .

Each time my son shows of a new "big boy" skill I pretty much know where it came from. Cameron is a great teacher. His creativity and imagination have been a blessing for as long as he has been around and we think he is pretty neat.

Cameron,
You have blessed us with your incessant fortitude of abnormal behavior. . . We love you!

Summer of a prego

The kids and I have been having a blast this last week. Jess's parents were in town so our family got to go down and swim in the pool at the camping place where they stayed. The kids got to use their "floaty suits" and they had a lot of fun.

On Friday Wyatt, Genevieve and I went out to the Duckworth's house and "helped" dig out grass and dirt to make a level place for the new pool. Genevieve is such a big girl, she was picking up grass clumps bigger than her head and dumping them in the "wheel-bucket" for Grandpa to haul away. At the same time Wyatt was filling a small snow shovel with dirt and dumping that in the "wheel-bucket"

Now that I have figured out how to work my blogger account I will be able to update my blog and post comments on other peoples!!! Look out sisters I now have a voice again! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Kisses!

Commen sense isn't

So, I have decided that I need to learn how to use this stupid blog thing... I don't know how to put pictures in and I just figured out what my password was. I am going to blame it on pregnancy brain. You lose your mind when you are pregnant, it gets replaced by very irrational things. Don't ask me why, it just does. Anyway, I have a very nice piece of writing that I would like to share so here it is;

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend,
Mr. Common Sense.
Mr. Sense had been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old
he was since his birth records were long ago
lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated
such value lessons as knowing
when to come in out of the rain,
why the early bird gets the worm and
that life isn't always fair.
Common Sense lived by simple,
sound financial policies
(don't spend more than you earn)
and reliable Parenting strategies
(adults, not kids, are in charge).

His health began to rapidly deteriorate
when well intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a six-year-old
boy charged with sexual harassment
for kissing a classmate;
teens suspended from school for using
mouthwash after lunch;
and a teacher fired for reprimanding an
unruly student,
only worsened his condition.

Mr. Sense declined even further when
schools were required to get parental consent
to administer aspirin to a student;
but, could not inform the parents when a student
became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common Sense lost the will to live
as the Ten Commandments became contraband;
churches became businesses;
and criminals received better treatment
than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost
after a woman failed to realize that a
steaming cup of coffee was hot,
she spilled a bit in her lap,
and was awarded a huge financial settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents,
Truth and Trust,
his wife, Discretion;
his daughter, Responsibility;
and his son, Reason.

He is survived by two stepbrothers;
My Rights and Ima Whiner.
Not many attended his funeral because
so few realized he was gone.

Retrospective

Yes Daniel, I did have a bad day.... Have you ever had one of those days that just doesn't go the way you think it should? Like when you get up in the morning, mouth watering at the thought of those bacon wrapped oreo's you've saved for breakfast. You go to the pantry only to find you have no nacho cheese in which to dip your precious bacon wrapped oreos. You rub your eyes just to see if you are mistaken. *Alas* no nacho cheese....This breakfast will have to wait for another day. You cram a pop tart into your face (sans pickle relish, 'cause you don't have that either) and run out the door to find that the increasingly intelligent frat boys who live two doors down thought it would be amusing to shrink wrap your car. Between the genius boys laughing hysterically and trying to maneuver your keys to slit the plastic without scratching the paint below you wonder, how the hell did I get here?? You finally get into the car via the sunroof ,which conveniently doesn't lock, and you are on you way. Yes there is still shrink wrap on the car but it is kinda see through and you need to get to work. You are driving to work trying your best not to hit the delightful cement median that is designed to kill you on impact as to not distract the drivers on the other side of the freeway, when low and behold through the wavy lines of plastic you think you see something that is not a car....It can't be...Of course it is, there is a tractor going 15 miles an hour in the fast lane. To make matters worse the three thousand year old woman in the car next to you is PACING THE TRACTOR!. You are going to be late for work You pull into work, climb back out the sunroof and onto the hood. As you climb down you hear a tearing sound.....No freaking way...The modest calf length skirt you so carefully chose this morning now has a slit up the side that ends little higher than mid thigh. This is gonna suck. Not much unusual happens during the work day. You did get quite a few compliments on your skirt, you even got Dave in accounting's phone number, e-mail address, pager number, cell number, blog, gym, shoe size, and type of deodorant. He sure is a friendly guy. You leave work later than everyone else as to not draw attention to your most interesting predicament. You attempt to climb up onto the car but it has been raining and of course you find yourself falling. Bracing for the impact of the gravel below you stop suddenly. What the.....You open your eyes to find no other than your boss looking down at you in his arms. "Duct tape works a lot better you know" he says eyeing your shrink wrapped car. You mutter something about armadillo's in spring time migrating to new Jersey and then muster up enough confidence to climb back into you car and drive away. You get home to find one of the exceedingly brilliant frat boys, puking what looks like ravioli and fish sticks onto your newly planted roses. Fed up, and being the caring person you are, you get the garden hose and proceed to wash down the flowerbed. In the process making frat boy resemble marshmallows, oreo's, spaghetti, and green goo (you know the slime they dump on people on nickelodeon when the "accidentally" say the word of the day) all mixed together in a blender. Frat boy smiles a little and goes to sleep. You go inside change you clothes and relax with a nice bowl of chili and dill pickles with hot fudge. Tonight beatniks in Bremerton is on and it is suppose to be a special two hour episode where Jenny figures out that she really is a black man from wisconsin and Jimbo and Eddy are really siamese twins who never knew each other existed. The suspense is almost more than you can take. You hear Wheezers "Pink Triangle" (beatniks in Bremerton's theme song) come on and you get a chill up your spine. All of the sudden everything goes black. You hear hysterical laughing coming from outside. You debate on whether you should bring your shotgun with you while you investigate. You decide against it, last time you accidentally shot Mrs. Engle's pet wallaby. Talking you way out of that one was a trip. You open the door to find the source of the hysterics. Half a dozen frat boys somehow managed to pull the telephone pole out of its six foot deep concrete seating and now are strapping it to their backs and attempting to rollerblade and keep this thing on their back. You close the door. Were you ever that young and stupid? Yeah, ya were. You climb up the stairs to your bedroom, crawl into bed only to find that your nice comfy bed is now a cold squishy lake. You grab you flashlight and turn it to the ceiling. Where the ceiling once was there is now a large hole looking right up to the gloomy sky. You get out of bed strip your pajamas off and trudge back down the stairs to the couch. As you lay there in the darkness, listening to the sounds of the neighborhood idiots at play, you think to yourself.....This is why you must always have plenty of nacho cheese.....
